Eric is 1/2 of our dynamic duo of alpacas. Coming to us after surviving the Woolsey Fires, these two had had a really bad year. They were originally part of a group of 9, but predators slowly picked off 7 over the course of a 2018, and then the terrible Woolsey Fires hit the area and their property was decimated. They were unfortunately left onsite but miraculously survived the blaze. Their luck streak continued when a wonderful woman discovered them and arranged to have them moved to her barn to recover. She reached out to us to see if we could offer sanctuary to them and without hesitation we said yes. After some much needed veterinary care, they came home to Ojai to decompress and start their new life.
Eric is a little more shy and prefers to sit back and let Nathan shine. He is cautious and always making sure things are as they should be..
