Luna arrived two days after Matilda, June and their daughters from a property in Lancaster after other animals on property had been advertised for sale, their babies advertised as cheap meat. We originally responded for others, and inquired about Luna once we saw her. But she had already been purchased and we being prepared. Heart broken, we left with our four and returned to Ojai. But couldn’t get Luna out of our heads. We called the rancher for a chance she was still alive, and he said that the original buyers had changed their minds after discovering she was pregnant. We raced over and brought Luna home..She will never lose another baby, never not receive all the care she needs for her prenatal health. She will deliver her baby in a warm heated stall and supported in every way she needs.
Luna is very nervous and stays as close as she can to Matilda for comfort. Wer’e leaving her with the space she needs to settle in, decompress, and receive all the pre-natal care she needs for a healthy pregnancy.
