This sweet little potbelly pig was part of a hoarding case in Sylmar, a neighborhood in Los Angeles. There were over 400 animals (dogs, cats, turkeys, pigs, geese, pigeons, and chickens) on site that were removed and sent to various rescues and clinics. Marty was the last to be removed.
He had to be immediately placed in isolation with our veterinarian to be treated for several aggressive skin infections and internal parasite, mange, and to be castrated once he was healthy enough.
He is sweet, loves belly rubs, and were so happy that he has been placed with our dear friend Shawna, who works specifically in pot belly pig rescue. She also rescued from the Sylmar hoarding case, taking in a very pregnant female potbelly pig who gave birth just a short time after her arrival to Shawna’s property.
